I’ve been thinking lately about faith,
hope, and dreams, and how they’re connected.
The Bible says: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen” (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV).
When we hope for something, isn’t that similar to
having a dream?
We
hope someday to have a house of our own.
We
hope to travel to Europe.
We
hope to find a job where we can utilize our skills and fill fulfilled.
We
hope to retire and have time to pursue hobbies.
We can hope all we want, but in order to see those
dreams become reality, we also need to have faith that by the grace of God and
our own efforts we can experience them.
When people are struggling—whether those challenges
are due to damaged relationships, finances, poor health, or anything else—hope
makes all the difference.
Hope changes everything.
Hope gives those struggling the ability to dream
again.
Faith provides the power to act on that dream.
Faith, hope, and dreams—bound together.
